Note: The Rev. Dario Palasi is an alumnus of St. Mary's School,
Sagada, Mt. Prov., Philippines. SMSSAFF,
headquartered in New Jersey, draws its membership worldwide.
As SMSSAFF faces a daunting challenge helping SMSSI survive, Fr.
Dario Palasi likewise faces a daunting challenge generating
support to help St. John's Episcopal Church in Flushing, Queens, New
York survive. St. John's Flushing has become a spiritual haven to many
Filipinos [mostly Igorot Filipinos] in the Queens and surrounding
Boroughs of New York. Thanks to Fr. Dario's tireless ministry even in
the face of seemingly insurmountable odds - - Odds which
ultimately brought down a congregation in the hundreds to a mere 11
souls and apparently a reason for Fr Dario's immediate
predecessors to literally give up. SMSSAFF can only wish Fr. Dario
Palasi the best of luck, health and persistence in his church ministry. In the spirit of "Aditako
Bokodan di Gawis" [in English, "Let us share our blessings], Fr. Dario
is literally sharing his [and her wife's] time, talents and treasure
helping cater to the spiritual needs of many of our people. Lambert Sagalla
