Emily Salvador, at age 89, is perhaps the oldest woman member of
the congregation of St. John's Episcopal Church Flushing at present. She
has three generations of children, grandchildren and great grandchildren
actively involved in the ministry of St. John's Episcopal Church.
Daughter Cecille Salvador Longid is an active member of St. John's
ECW. Granddaughter Audrey Salvador Longid Gulian is also an active member of
the ECW. Audrey's husband, Brian Gulian is a licensed lay minister and
member of the brotherhood of St. John. Grandson Bobby Salvador Longid is
an active member of the Brotherhood of St. John. Bobby's wife, Marjorie
Laoyan Longid is the Sunday School teacher and organist at St. John.
Great-great grandsons Russel and Dreyan are acolytes at St. John's. Her other
children and grandchildren are likewise active members in the churches
where they belong in other states of the United States as well as in the
Philippines. She has been truly blessed.
Her family, relatives and friends surprised her with a
birthday bash at the residence of Audrey and Brian Gulian on October 15,
2006. Hereunder are some pictures taken during said birthday celebration. Click on
