Dear members of the congregation,Our boiler which has faithfully
served St. John's Episcopal Church for nigh 30 years is about ready to
conk out after being submerged by a basement flood last February.
The assistance of boiler technicians were enlisted to render a general
check up and do whatever was necessary to repair the boiler. We wanted so
much to spend as little as possible for the repair of the boiler knowing
pretty well that we are still struggling to turn around or close the
yearly budget deficit of our church. The boiler experts, however,
were unanimous in their assessment that it was better to replace the
boiler with a new one.
They estimate that it would cost about $25,000.00 to purchase and
install a new boiler. The estimate includes the purchase price of
pipes and other materials needed to distribute heat throughout the
church as well as labor cost. The picture thumbnails below depict the
boiler and some of the pipes to be replaced. Click on any thumbnail
